Dillon He came to us just before Christmas in 2005, and we were privileged to share our lives with him for nearly 5 years. We thought we'd have more time, but he died very suddenly, in my arms, (on August 30, 2010) from cardiac arrest related to his MVD. He was one of the sweetest dogs we've ever known. ~Denise Brauner Rex went to the bridge in April, 2014 after suffering from Hepatocutaneous Syndrome. He came into rescue with this disease and his time with Lucky Star was far too short. Rex had an amazing spirit and greeted everyone he met with a wagging tail and smile. He touched the lives and hearts of everyone he came into contact with. Rest in Peace sweet, gentle Rex. You will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure to meet you. My sweet Owen crossed the Rainbow Bridge tonight (5/5/14) suddenly and quietly. He came in from the back yard with Ariel, lay down in front of his favorite chair, and slipped away. I adopted Owen from Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue two days after Christmas in 2010. I had not been at his foster mom's house more than fifteen minutes before he climbed into my lap and claimed me as his own. Easy-going, always with a smile, Owen was the quiet leader of the Giles brigade. He was usually in charge of notifying the rest of the group that I had driven into the driveway at the end of the day, and he considered it his duty to protect us from all animals on the television. He never objected to Cavaliers on TV but any other dog, cat, horse, cow, or gecko received a warning from Owen.
