Donations Tax Exempt 501(c)(3): In 2001, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) granted Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue's request for 501(c)(3) tax exempt status as a non-profit charity organization. As a result, donations are tax deductible. Contact your tax advisor if you need specific information regarding tax deductions.
Everything we are able to do for these precious dogs is through donations and volunteering from caring people like you. No donation to help a Cavalier is too small, whether it is time, goods or money. Every donation we receive goes towards the care of our rescues. We receive many dogs who have not had regular medical care. Some have major issues. Lucky Star has an extensive medical protocol and an average new rescue receives over $1200 in medical expenses just during their initial stay in foster care. Our sicker dogs may require surgery or longer term medical rehabilitation. We have resourced heart surgery, luxating patella corrections, abdominal repairs, MRIs, etc. Even a small donation can help so much! You can read about some of these cases here:
