Rory This beautiful blenheim boy was rescued on St Patrick's Day from a puppy mill in Missouri in 2001. He was adopted from Lucky Star in April of 2001. He became a certified therapy dog and began his life long work on Valentines Day in 2005. Rory served as a therapy dog for eight years. He was given many awards for his many hours of dedication and commitment. He touched the lives and brought joy to hundreds of people throughout his life. He continued to bring pleasure right up to the end of his life and had his last therapy visit in May of 2013. Rory lived a wonderful life of being loved by his mom and Cavalier siblings. God bless you, sweet Rory. Sweet Lexus lost her battle and is now running pain free with the other Cavaliers who were waiting for her at the bridge. We thank Mindy and her family for giving Lexus such a wonderful home. She will be so missed by all who knew her. Please take a moment to read the beautiful tribute about her written by her mom Mindy. http://mindyandryland.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-tribute-to-my-friend.html Sweet Austin recently lost his battle with heart disease. He will be missed by all who knew him. He brought so much joy to everyone. He was such a sweet loving soul. Run free sweet boy. Dear, sweet Lucy. Lucy came to Lucky Star three years ago at a very young age. She became a permanent foster because she had such a severe heart condition that none expected her to live more than a few months. Lucy proved everyone wrong and lived for over three years in her foster home. She had a family that loved her dearly and was the ambassador for other rescues who stayed in her home. Lucy was on vacation with her family, when she took a turn. Her big, beautiful heart was just not working for her and she was rushed to the emergency. Lucy went peacefully in the arms of the foster mom who loved her dearly and gave her the life that every Cavalier deserves. She beat the odds. God bless you, Lucy. You will be missed by all of us who watched you thrived for longer than anyone expected. That is the power of love. This beautiful tri boy was adopted from Lucky Star in 2005 at the estimated age of 4 years old. He came from some of the worst conditions ever from an Amish farm in PA. On Tuesday, July 3, 2012, Nigel took a nap after breakfast and never woke up. He lived a wonderful life of being loved by his mom and dad in Maine, along with Cavalier siblings. After the time he spent in the mill, Nigel loved that his mom and dad kept him so clean. He never wanted to be dirty again. Nigel was so terribly timid when rescued, that we didn't think we would ever find him a home......but we did and he had a wonderful life. He went so peacefully. God bless you, sweet Nigel.
