What a life I’ve had. It’s really good now but that’s not how it’s always been. I remember living in a puppymill and it was awful; loud and dirty and so scary. Thankfully, I got out of there, thanks to some nice people in rescue.  The rescue people didn’t understand me very well, though, I think. A really nice couple took me home but they had a little baby and I didn’t understand human babies, so she scared me. I know she didn’t mean to but she moved really fast at me and made lots of loud and scary noises, so I ran and hid from her. Then, my family would tie me outside but I didn’t know why or what they wanted me to do. Anyway, I guess they didn’t know what to do with me, so they called my new foster mom and she came to get me.

What a difference! Wow, I’m so happy here and am doing really, really good. I love having other dogs around to show me what to do and no babies making loud noises and scaring me. I know what my mom wants me to do when I go outside now, too, so I’m almost “housetrained”, can you believe it? I eat really well, even though I did lose a lot of my teeth from my first life.

I’m not a brand new girl, for sure. Mom tells me that I’m 7 yrs old but that’s not old, right?? My life has really just begun and I’d make someone very happy because I love to be loved and sit on laps and run in the yard. Please, if you have a home without babies in it, I’d be your best friend. I love having lots of space to run, so a fenced yard is perfect for me. After so many years living in a crate, I really love freedom, now.

Mom says we live in West Michigan, in a town called Hamilton. It’s nice here and I’m very happy but know that I need a “forever home” of my very own….maybe yours??
