Max and Chloe were surrendered to a sanctuary by their owners because of a new baby in the home and they could no longer afford their care.  They were taken in by a Lucky Star volunteer who is fostering them.  We would like to place these two dogs together, since they have spent their lives together.  Both dogs were badly in need of a dental cleaning and updating their vaccines and Lucky Star took care of that along with medical exams. 

Chloe is 6 years old. Chloe had a few teeth removed when she had her teeth cleaned.  She has shown some discomfort in her back but it doesn’t stop her from enjoying her walks.    Because of her age, we would also recommend an annual check up with the cardiologist.  Acupuncture and joint supplements might be helpful for her.  Loosing some weight will relieve these symptoms.  Chloe is also a friendly, affectionate girl. 

Both dogs are very overweight and the minor symptoms, aches and pains they now have should be easily resolved with weight loss, regular exercise and better medical care than they had previously received.  They clearly were neglected and did not receive good quality food.  That has improved for them since they came into our care.  They love their daily walks and being with their people.  They are lovely dogs and would be a wonderful addition to an attentive, loving home.  They are being fostered with another dog and a cat.
