Cavalier King Charles Spaniel : : Female : : Adult Interested in adopting?
Bella is a darling 6 year old girl who is now ready for her adoptive home!! Bella is a retired breeding mama. It is time for retirement for this beautiful lady! Bella is living in a foster home with several other cavaliers. Bella has learned a lot from watching & copying them. Bella will need a companion dog living with her in her new home. This will ensure the progress will continue. Bella eats twice a day in the kitchen, alongside the rest of the pups. Bella is used to a crate, when we leave the house and for sleeping at night. Bella has chosen the living room couch as her favorite place to take a nap and she would probably love to sleep on the big bed. Bella can jump onto the couch by jumping first onto an ottoman. During the day, you’ll find her laying in the kitchen or following her human around. Bella loves to earn “ treats “. The jar is in the kitchen and this smart girl learned that almost instantly!! Bella loves going outside!! I see her running on the grass with her dog friends… ears flopping and tail wagging! We have walked her on a leash and find that she does well! Bella knows her name and responds to it when called. Common commands are being worked on every day. Bella has had very positive interactions with adults and a child, while in our home. Her overall demeanor is so friendly and sweet when approaching people. When a person reaches down to pet her, she is unsure and a bit timid. This is improving, however. Bella will take a few toys and bring them up onto the couch at night. We find that she will collect two or three from our dog toy buckets and just likes them near her for a little while. Just adorable!! Bella has been to the veterinary office and is well loved by the staff because she was such a good girl!! Bella is up to date on her vaccinations and has had a dental and been spayed. Bella is in good health. Bella traveled well in the car every time we’ve taken her for appointments. Each trip has been just under an hour. Bella is very quiet and falls asleep with the motion of the vehicle. Bella enjoyed having a bubble bath!! We gave her a bath in our home and made sure it was a gentle and positive experience. This gorgeous girl has truly been a dream to foster!! Bella is bring fostered n Newburgh, NY. A securely fenced yard, another canine companion and being within a reasonable distance are a must to be considered. Cavalier experience and knowledge of the breed and their conditions is also important. We do not ship dogs or approve long distant adoptions. Please consider all that you have read and if you are interested in adopting Bella, please complete an application, then e-mail luckystarrescue@gmail.com of your interest.
