Kate Upton is an affectionate, beautiful Cavalier King Charles rescued from her former life of breeding. Kate has been spayed, vaccinated, has a microchip, HW tested, and had a full exam. 

Kate is a happy affectionate girl, who loves to snuggle humans and the other dogs in the house and enjoys a belly rub. Kate quickly adjusted to her new foster home. She looked to the other dogs for queues and quickly adapted to the schedule. We estimate that he is about 6 years old and weighs 19 lbs. Her foster family is working with her to lose 3-4 more lbs.

Kate is comfortable around humans and other dogs; she has not met a cat or a small child yet. She has a big personality and warms up quickly to new people. Kate is still learning to walk on a leash. She loves to play in the backyard. When her foster family leaves, Kate goes in her crate, receives a treat, and does not exhibit any separation anxiety. Kate is happy to sleep in her crate or on the bed, whichever her foster family prefers.

Kate loves getting attention from humans. She will climb over the other dogs in the home to get affection or a treat. Kate would do well in a home with other pets. She has a strong desire for attention and affection that she is constantly at the feet of the humans in the household. This means that the people in the household will need to be vigilant not to accidentally step on her and should be steady on their feet. 

She is housebroken, but her adopters need to keep her on a schedule and watch her carefully for signals that she needs to go outside. Kate did mark (like a male dog) for the first few days in her foster family’s home.

An ideal home for Kate has a fenced yard (which is required for all our rescues). Kate is well behaved and eager to please but would benefit from some basic obedience training.

The lucky family that adopts Kate is going to have a wonderful girl that will be affectionate, loyal, and loads of fun. 

Good with other dogs and with cats .  Good with older children and adults (has not met infants or young children yet). Needs a yard. Crate trained. Likes to be in your lap or at your side. Playful.
