Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (medium coat) : : Female : : Senior : : Medium
Hannah is an adorable 7 year old tricolor girl who was retired from a breeding farm. She is very inquisitive and loves to explore outside. She is very cautious when leaving the area of her comfort zone. While in foster, she made small strides daily, but is still timid.. While in foster she has 2 brothers, a 7 year old Cavailer rescue and a 1 year old Goldendoodle. She adores both. She's very friendly to new dogs,, big and small. Hannah is afraid of crates. Hannah will warm up to you, she will want your attention and love. When meeting someone new she may be vocal at first. . She doesn't like sudden movements and loud noises. She walks very well on a leash, but gets scared with sudden, unexpected traffic, ie a bicyclist riding by, but she calms down quickly with positive reassurance. She loves meal time and will dance and show great excitement. She sleeps upstairs in her own bed but is afraid of going up the house stairs so we have to carry her, she has no problem going down on her own. Outside, she does the stairs on the deck with ease. Hannah is house trained and has had no accidents while in foster. After 3 weeks in foster, she finally strayed on her own from her safe place to another room where her foster mom was working in her office. Give her time. She will build trust and reward you 10 fold. She is a great baby. Hannah has been spayed, had a dental exam, all vaccinations and a medical exam. She does not have a heart murmur, has taken off extra weight, and was diagnosed with dry eye that will require prescription eye drops and moisture gel for her life. She tolerates her eye medications well. Although she is cautious and timid she will warm up within a short time and continue to blossom in a loving, patient home. Photos show her before and after weight loss. Mature, dog-savvy children over 8 yrs old are OK and a fully physically fenced yard is required and a canine companion in the home.
