Bridget is a lovely 6 year-old English Toy Spaniel retired from breeding in a high volume breeding situation. She's a small girl who only weighs 11-12 lbs.  She is a very timid girl and it has taken a lot of time, space and patience for her to start to feel safe and comfortable in her foster home.  There are Cavaliers and ETS in her foster home and she definitely prefers to hang out with the other ETS if not by herself in an open crate.  She knows how to use the front stairs to go out to the fenced yard but, in typical ET fashion, she does it on her terms, when she wants to.   She loves mealtime and is very vocal and animated and is a different dog when it’s time to eat.  She is too timid still to work on leash training.  She allows you to pick her up and is calm but she may never be a lap dog.  Occasionally she will approach her foster mom to pet her when the others are seeking her attention.  She's starting to learn from the behaviors of the other ETS about what is safe and that humans aren't all bad.  

Bridget has been spayed, had a dental, all vaccinations and a medical exam.  No serious medical issues were detected during her vetting.  She’s just a shy girl. 

The very best home for Bridget would be a quiet home with lots and lots of patience to allow her to adjust and gain confidence.  That home needs to understand that this could take a long time and she may always be shy.  Another ETS in the home is strongly preferred.  She loves her ETS foster siblings. A securely fenced yard is a must.
