~~Annie came to Lucky Star in June of 2018. This former mill mama was adopted within weeks of her coming into our rescue. She has been a loved pet for the past year. Annie’s Mama has been struggling with serious health issues for months and with great love for her little girl asked Lucky Star if we would help find her a home with a family that could give her the life she deserves. We promised we would find her that family.

Annie will be 6 in June and is being fostered in Cincinnati, OH. Her foster family describes her as a sweet and loving little girl. She loves the cavalier siblings and the resident kitty cats in her foster home. She is starting to walk well on a leash and loves to be outside with her foster Mom and Dad and their cavaliers. She was not able to experience leash walks like this in her past home. She is very playful with her toys and treats them like her babies. Annie eats like a champ and loves the word “treat”! You will make her day with frozen green beans and carrots. Annie has a very mild grade 1- 2 heart murmur. An echo was preformed and the results were heart has normal function. She is not on any medication.

She is slightly timid when meeting new people but it took less than a week for her to be happy and at ease with her foster family. She has been a bit timid with the steps to the yard and will sometimes do a bit of submissive peeing at the door. We are sure that Annie will gain confidence with steps but she sure would love a home without any!

Annie would do better with older children that won’t try to grab at her. We will only consider homes for her with a physically fenced in yard. No electric fences. We also want Annie to have sibling canine companions that are close to her age. She has blossomed with having younger dogs to interact with.

If you would like the opportunity to make this little girls dreams come true, please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.luckystarcavalierrescue.org You may email Pat Wellmeier, foster coordinator, to let her know of your interest or to ask any questions: pwellmeier@myself.com
