This is quiet, meek Milly, a petite (12 lb), 7 year-old retired breeder.  Her age is estimated.  She was very timid at first but has made wonderful progress while in her Lucky Star foster home.   She has made so much progress that now she will allow her foster mom to pick her up and will sit on her lap. 

Milly loves other dogs and we will definitely be looking for a home with other dogs, preferably other Cavaliers to make her transition as easy as possible.  She watches the other dogs and has learned new behaviors from them and learned what it’s like to be in a home for the first time.   

She only barks when the other dogs are barking, excited about mealtime.  She likes cats who are dog savvy.  She is doing well with her house breaking.  She loves treats which are a new thing for her.  She has a low grade heart murmur which does not require any medication at this time but will be monitored during her foster care.  She  has lost many teeth from neglect and during her recent dental but that doesn’t stop her from eating kibble. 

Milly needs a very understanding, patient, experience home with other Cavs and a securely fenced yard.  She has made wonderful progress and is learning to trust.  Small children would not be appropriate as she would startle easily.
