Hi, I’m Amber! My foster mom says I have the prettiest amber hair she ever laid her eyes on. I'm a ruby colored Cavalier which means I am a true gem. I am a little shy at first, but warm up to people quickly. I want nothing more than sit on someone’s lap and be loved. I get along great with both my foster human sister and dad as well as the doggy brothers and sisters.  I do tend to be a toy hog...I can be overprotective of them. With time, I’ll overcome my protectiveness. My foster mommy says I’m making good progress.

I was very lucky to get a new life on May 31st when I was rescued from a life of breeding.  I was freed at a young age of 3 and I even still have all my teeth. I got spayed, vaccinated, and got my teeth cleaned. My vet didn't find any problems with my heart, or legs. My doggy brothers and sisters are helping me learn how to do my business outside. Ya see, grass is kind of  foreign to me. I lived in a crate my whole life and have never felt grass until now. With patience and consistency I’ll be potty trained in no time! I am a large "big and beautiful" Cavalier but I am on the chubby side, so I need someone who will be willing to help me with my diet and exercise. I love frolicking outside with my foster mommy! Now that I can run a little and I'm going to get in tip top shape! I'd love to have some older children to play with and take me on walks. I hope you will want to meet me and decide that I am the dog your family has been looking for! I want a loving family who will have time for me.  I love to be around other dogs.
