Introducing…..

Cheerful Charlie!

Charlie is an 8 year old canine dreamboat. He is as mellow and affable as they come and he just aims to please. In fact, the local vet tech school invites him over to help teach their students assessment skills! He just rolls over and they can listen and palpate to their hearts content.

His favorite activity is to be petted, or maybe eating. He does love his chow! He enjoys riding in the car, especially if he’s going someplace with lots of people. He tends to draw a crowd!

He appreciates a short walk around the block if it’s not to hot and he always loves a romp in the fenced backyard with his foster siblings.

He is 100% house broken and will stand by the door and bark to be let out. He prefers to sleep on the floor by our bed, but will occasionally jump up on the chair or couch.

Charlie was brought to the animal shelter and turned in by his owners because they were moving. He is deaf, however I rarely notice it. He hangs out with the other pups and trots right along with them when they are called. He compensates well with his vision, generally placing himself in a good location to see all that is going on.

He likes children and other dogs and ignores cats.

Along with his wonderful Cavalier temperament and enthusiasm for life, Charlie also has a heart murmur with some heart enlargement and hip dysplasia in his left hip. These two conditions will require medication to keep him pain-free and slow their progression.
