My name is Cooper and I just had the best birthday.  I turned 4 years
old 11/11/11/ which is the day I was freed from being used for
breeding.  What a wonderful birthday present!  I had to make a stop at
the vet and get checked out--got my teeth cleaned & neutered so no
more pups! My heart and patellas are in good shape (yeah!)  Then, it
was on  to my foster home with my best friend Cookie.  Didn't take me
long to figure out that laps are wonderful.  I could sit in foster
mom's lap all day long.  I'm learning to go into my kennel and working
on only going potty outside.  There are cats here but I really don't
care about them either way.  I like my new foster sister who is a
beagle girl but to be honest, the boys here are bigger than I am and
they make me a bit nervous so I'd rather just have sisters my size or
smaller in my new home.  Sure hope I can get a family of my own soon
to make this a perfect year.

From foster mom:
Cooper is the sweetest boy.  He follows me everywhere and loves to be
as close as possible. Cooper weighs 22# now and should lose about 4#.
His heart and patellas are fine. He had a few teeth pulled but he eats
his food and treats just fine.  It only takes him a couple minutes to
warm up to new people.  He does not seem bothered by loud noises nor
does he startle easily.  He's a beautiful, easy going boy who is well
on his way to being a cherished family member.
