Nora is a 5 ½ year old black & tan English Toy Spaniel from a commercial breeder.  An English Toy Spaniel is not a Cavalier so please be familiar with this breed before proceeding with an application.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, examined and as you can see from her hanging tongue, has lost many teeth which doesn’t stop her from eating.  She is happy and well-adjusted and ready for a home.  She is a small girl, weighing only 11.5lbs.

We are hoping to place Nora and Oonagh together since they are the best of friends and both very  happy girls.  Their ideal home would be one where they can stay together.  

Nora does show some mild SM symptoms and if you are familiar with Cavalier medical conditions and this breed you know what SM is.  Please do your research.  She will air scratch at her left neck area, a few times a day.  The episodes last a few seconds and there are no lingering effects or evidence of pain.  The Gabapentin that was prescribed post-surgery did help these symptoms and it is a treatment for SM. 

Nora is very sociable and friendly and loves to sit on her foster’s lap and give kisses.  She would do best with another canine companion and you  must have a securely fenced yard on your property to be considered.  Homes with older respectful children might be OK.  We do not guarantee transport assistance, use commercial services or ship dogs.  Please be within a reasonable driving distance.  Please complete an application if you can offer what Nora needs, then contact Mary Coyne, mary401339@aol.com of your interest.
