Cavalier King Charles Spaniel : : Female : : Adult
Meet Millie Hi my name is Millie, sometimes I get called Miss Millie when I do something funny or cute. I have a lot of curiosity and am adventurous! I am just 4 years old. I found out that playing ball is really fun and I like chasing the ball. I figure out things fast, which means I am pretty smart and I’m also pretty. I needed to lose some weight and have been going on walks and running around in my foster’s yard. Now I am at a very nice weight of 17 pounds. When you are little like me every pound counts! I am a bit scared of new people and it takes me awhile to make friends with a stranger but then I warm up. I start out barking at a new person while I wag my tail fast and then find out it’s OK. Before I came into foster I was a mom a couple times. I got spayed and I am happier now. When I went to the vet I found out I have a heart murmur and to be on the safe side I am taking some pills twice a day. I have to go back for another echocardiogram in a year. So I will need to stay at my new weight and get exercise. I need a human to follow up with a cardiologist to get my check ups and the right pills. I don’t have any symptoms so I can’t tell there is anything wrong. I got my vaccinations and a microchip, plus found out I don’t have heart worm. I’m taking one pill a month will keep me from having fleas, heartworm and parasites. I also had my front left pad and pinky toe removed because it must have gotten hurt once and didn’t heal right. It feels a lot better now and I can run and jump just fine. I used to live with one other dog but our owner couldn’t keep us. So we were lucky to go into rescue. I slept in my crate when I first got here but now I get to sleep in the big bed and I behave when left alone with the other fosters. I am so excited when my foster family gets home and I love my foster family’s dogs. They don’t have a cat, which is good since I can’t resist chasing them. I am good in the car and I love to go for walks on the leash. I will be happy to have a family of my own with older children or even be one person’s special loyal girl. I will enjoy playing ball and snuggling and make you smile! I will need to have a fully physically fenced yard so I can run and play and will need you to keep a close eye on me because I am curious about what is on the other side of the fence! If you think you would be the right human for me – please fill out an application, then contact Mary Coyne, mary401339@aol.com My foster home is in Southeast Michigan Thanks for reading about me!
