Leslie is a beautiful 6 year old cavalier. Her coat is very soft and lush and her markings are beautiful. She has an almost regal demeanor about her. She loves the other cavaliers in her foster home and enjoys playing with them in the yard and even snoozing in the crate with them. Recently Leslie went on her first camping trip with her foster family and really enjoyed it. She loves being outside.

Recently Leslie has decided that sleeping in the big bed with her foster Mom and Dad is pretty nice.  Leslie was a bit shy when she first came into foster care but blossoms more each day. She has gone from spending most of her time in her crate to exploring the house and yard every day. She especially loves meal time and has learned that treats are a good thing. She does spend time playing with some of the toys but mostly likes the harder chew toys even though she lost some of her teeth during her dental.

Leslie is spayed and microchipped. She has a grade 2 heart murmur but displays no symptoms and is not on any medications.  She has some arthritis in her left knee and her patella in that knee is slightly loose as well. She has done well on glucosamine supplements and exercises to strengthen the patella and walks, runs and climbs a few stairs with ease.

Leslie needs another cavalier or a smaller dog as a companion. She also needs a physically fenced yard so she can continue to enjoy her play time outside. Leslie is being fostered near Knoxville, TN. Applicants within driving distance of TN will be given first consideration.
