~~Hello, I’m Betty. My foster family calls me Betty Boo but I’m not always good at recognizing my name. Mostly I just follow the other dogs to the door or the treats. I have learned that being super cute and gentle will get me lots of love and snuggles. I am rediscovering my puppy playfulness. I like to run and pounce with my foster sisters. We like to chase inside and outdoors. I really like to meet new people and they all seem to like me too. I’m not afraid of anybody yet. I’m learning not to try and escape when the door opens. I haven’t had an accident in the house for several days.

My foster mom and dad both think that I would make a good therapy dog in the future because I’m so darn cute and friendly. My life before Lucky Star wasn’t so nice but I’ve put that all behind me. And even though I’ve had a lot of puppies, I still like to run and play like a puppy. My play sessions are much shorter though.  I’m a very good all night sleeper. And I don’t mind going outside even when it’s raining. I don’t mind being in a crate while the people are gone, but as long as the clothes are out of reach, I’m pretty trustworthy.

I prefer to snuggle with other dogs, and I don’t make much noise. I am very healthy but a little thin (15lbs). I don’t mind small children or cats but I really do need to have other friendly dogs to spend time with so I can work on my dog skills. I would need a fenced yard and more practice with my basic commands but I do like walking on a leash.

I definitely need to find my furever home because there are so many more dogs like me that need to spend time in foster care while we learn to love and trust people again.
