Hi,  my name is Nikki. I am a 5 year old ruby Cavalier. I weigh 21 pounds.  I am a very happy girl. My cheery disposition helped me get through rough times and now I am making friends, learning new things and having lots of fun.

I learned fast to only go to the bathroom outside and I sleep in a crate for now. My foster family loves me and I love them too. I like their dogs. I love to play outside and run fast. I will require a fenced yard so I can run freely and an invisible fence is not an option, only a physically fenced yard so I can’t get loose. 

I get so excited that my whole body wags! Inside I find a nice spot to rest and someday I might try out the couch but not yet. When my foster family goes away I am in my crate and if I don't get out to be with them right away when they get home, then I bark to get them to let me out. I like to cuddle and get petted but I'm also happy to just relax and watch what's going on.

When I was rescued I got spayed and had my teeth cleaned  and received all my shots. My heart and knees have checked out OK at this time and there are no concerns.   

My foster family says that I am very easy to take care of and a joy to have around. I love them! My foster family has 2 young boys and they are really nice to me. But now it's time for me to have a forever home and I would prefer older, respectful children.
