Darby is a sweet, gentle, pretty,  black and tan girl.    She loves nothing more than being with her family.  She especially loves having doggy companions to play with.   Darby was an only dog with an adult only family  until recently.  When the very young grandkids moved in, they would startle her from a sound sleep and scare her.   Being deaf, she does really well with older children and adults but young children would not be a match and she is afraid of them.   The family very sadly had to rehome her to rescue.

Darby loves to go for car rides and outings.  She is great on a leash and is housebroken and well mannered.  While she likes to play with her doggy friends, she is also happy being a couch potato.

While she has no other known health issues, Darby is deaf.    You would never know that as she reads your gestures and obeys easily. Once she knows the routine in your home, she happily fits in.  She would do best with a companion dog to play with and follow and a safely fenced yard.
