Meet Winston – a handsome and gentle tricolor boy 12 yrs of age. He will celebrate his 13^th birthday on Feb 8^th. His spirit is young and the grey hairs in his long silky ears give him a distinguished look! He won’t admit it but he is very hard of hearing. He is plenty smart and takes cues from the other dog and is very alert to his surroundings so his deafness is easy to miss. In spite of cataracts he seems to see well. If I didn’t know that he came from a breeder and has a specific birthday I would think he was younger. Luckily he came from a loving stable home as part of a family of 6 well cared for Cavaliers. He adapted his foster home nicely and appreciates that one of his pack, Jackpot, is here too. He takes well earned, long naps and stares lovingly as his admirers. He sits for a treat and likes to eat alone. He is fine on a leash and able to jump up on the couch. The bed is a bit high for him but he loves sleeping on the big bed as he has his entire life. The best thing for Winston would be a home where he can continue to live a happy life for the years he has left.There are no noted heart or knee problems at this time. He is very easy to have around and also very good in the car. He is reliably house trained, a real plus!! He has been to the vet and is up to date on shots, had a dental cleaning and some teeth removed. He would like Jackpot to be adopted with him but would be OK to be the only dog or be in a home with other nice dogs. He most of all would like to be the loving companion of someone who will share their home and life with him. You need to be prepared for the many compliments he will get from those who meet him.  Winston says “ I will be your loyal friend and companion.”
