Ben is a beautiful 6 year old Blenheim boy. He is a small guy weighing only 15 pounds. When Ben first arrived, I really didn’t know what to expect from a dog confined to a cage with virtually no human contact for 6 years.  He was distant, skittish and fearful.  Within 72 hours, he was looking for contact and by weeks end, he was sleeping on the sofa, snuggled next to me.  It is a testament to this breed.  He is a very loving and affectionate dog, always wanting to be by my side.  Quick movements will cause him to scoot away.   He wants to play, but just doesn’t know how.  He deserves a family all to his own to be loved unconditionally.  He will make an outstanding companion dog.  He loves car rides and walks well on a leash and he especially loves dog cookies. He has a very low grade murmur and does not require any medication. Since he lived in such a neglectful, situation, I have tried to keep him out of his crate as much as possible.  When crated, he will bark for a period of time, but eventually settles.
