Sally is an adorable 3 year old girl.  Her heart and knees are sound at this time. She is going to need a very special home.  Sally is very afraid and will need a home that is quiet with one other dog at most.  It has taken months for Sally to accept her foster mom and let her pick her up and cuddle.  She is afraid of her foster dad but has started taking food from him but will still not get close.  A fenced yard is a must (not an invisible fence) because she will bolt when she if frightened, even if you are holding her.  An adopting home must understand that it could take a very long time to gain her trust.  When she does trust and feel safe, her foster mom is sure that a very loving and typical Cavalier personality is hidden under all that fear.  She is a very special dog with lots of love to give to the right home.  She would make better progress if someone were home most of the day to interact with her and help her trust.  Active households and small children would not be appropriate for this frightened girl.
