9/6/2011: Jasmine has been adopted.

August 13, 2011Jasmine is a 4 year old black and tan Cavalier who's in need of her forever home!  She is a very timid girl - having lived most of her life in a crate in a puppy mill.  She's very quiet and rarely makes a sound and likes to stay in a place that makes her feel secure - such as under a desk or on the couch.  She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body and while she won't voluntarily jump up into your lap or come to you she is more than happy to be placed in your lap and held and petted.  She will follow other dogs outside but is still unsure about going around the house on her own and has to be carried outside sometimes.  We also recently discovered she does not like men in baseball hats and will bark loudly at them.

She is still very unsure but she's getting more confident daily!  She's begun to follow us around the house and has nudged hands asking to be petted.  She is okay with children so long as they are not very young and would do well in a home with other Cavaliers that are not very young puppies.  She just needs a loving and patient family to bring her out of her shell!
