Frisco has found his forever home! From a Midwestern puppy mill to the upper east side of NYC-what a happy ending!!
November 13, 2010
Frisco is a 2 year old ruby Cavalier who was rescued from a puppy mill. He wants so badly to be with people, but he is still shy and runs away from his foster mom if she tries to pick him up. He will come up to her and lick her hand, but as soon as she reaches for him, he runs back into his safe place, his crate. Slowly but surely Frisco is learning to trust humans. He needs a family who will be patient with him and his insecurity. Frisco is doing well with his housetraining and has only had one accident so far. He sleeps in his crate all night without a peep. He barks at new people, but should be fine after he gets to know them. He weighs 15 pounds and is perfectly healthy. The vet says no knee or heart problems. YAY! Frisco is a sweet, energetic young Cavalier who has had a very bad start in life. Luckily he was rescued early in life and is not too scarred by life in the puppy mill. Frisco is looking for a patient forever home that will help him become a confident, happy dog. He will need time to become thoroughly bonded to his new family. He will need a doggie companion to help him learn how to act like a housedog. He must have a fenced yard, because he does not know how to walk on a leash yet.
Frisco is being fostered in Illinois-if you would like more information on Frisco, please email necavrescue@gmail.com --Also if you are looking to adopt Frisco-please fill out an application and send an email with your name and state to the email above.
