Bentley came to Lucky Star a few weeks due to the death of his Mom. He has lived in a home all of his life and is very well mannered and house trained. We have spent the last few weeks getting to know this wonderful boy and can’t wait for you to meet him. Bentley does have a grade 2 heart murmur but is not on any medication at this time. Bentley is being fostered in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Despite the sad reason for his coming to Lucky Star, Bentley settled right in at his foster home.  He loves to be near his humans. He follows his foster Mom and Dad around and is always happy to sit in a lap or right next to them on the couch. He does enjoy giving kisses and will easily settle down in your lap after some neck rubs & gentle coaxing. 

Bentley did not have cavalier siblings in his former home and is quite happy to snuggle with his foster Cavalier sister & brothers.  He & his younger foster "siblings" also enjoy running and playing together.  He is potty-trained and will indicate when he wants to go out.  His foster family is able to leave him loose in the house with their other dogs when they are away from home.  He likes sleeping in the big bed and will sleep in until 7:30/8:00 am if you let him.  He knows basic commands like sit & stay and is very responsive when called.  While he has had limited interaction with children the 5 year old neighbor girl at his foster home has befriended him. Except for being anxious at the vet's office he is a very sweet, laid back, relaxed boy. You must have a physically fenced yard and be within driving distance to adopt. We do not ship our dogs. We want Bentley to have at least one other dog in his new home.
