Gracie is a 9 year old Blenheim female who ended up in rescue after her owner passed away. Gracie came into rescue overweight and has worked hard to lose the weight and looks great now! She now weighs 24 lbs. Gracie is a sweet girl who would prefer a lap all to herself. She could be fine as an only dog if she had an owner that was home most of the day or would also be fine with a canine companion or two but would not do well in household with many dogs (she is very jealous and will bark until she gets attention).

Gracie has hip dysplasia and takes medication for it. She sometimes is stiff but manages to get around ok. She will be starting cold laser therapy to provide additional relief.   Treatment includes glucosamine supplements as well.  She is not a candidate for corrective surgery at this point in her life.   She has a Grade 3 heart murmur and has been checked by a cardiologist and does not need medication at this time

Gracie is a very funny dog and gets so worked up when she sees people! She has never met a stranger and loves all people, even kids. Gracie is deaf, but it is very hard to notice this as she is constantly paying attention to her foster humans and the other dogs to find out what is going on. Gracie is completely housebroken, has excellent leash manners and is well behaved. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who understands her health needs and wants a constant shadow/lap dog.
