Gidgette come to Lucky Star as a breeder surrender from Montana. She is a 4 year old English toy spaniel with double luxating patellas.  No surgery is required at this time, but a future possibility should be considered when adopting her out.  Currently supplements, physical therapy exercises and laser therapy are managing her condition.  
In a previous home, she was terrorized by chihuahuas and young children as a puppy as well as improperly socialized. She is now approaching cautiously and seems genuinely happy and excited whenever we leave and return. She would be a flight risk so as with all of our rescue a home with a secure fenced yard is required.

She will adjust best in a home without children and other low energy dogs.   She prefers to hang out with the senior dogs in her foster home and shows no interest in toys at this time. A canine companion is a must as well as a securely fenced yard.

She needs a home where the people understand her issues with trust and are willing to work with her. She won’t love you overnight, but she will love you.
