Cavalier King Charles Spaniel : : Male : : Senior
Hi - I’m Tucker – I’ve always been Tucker my whole life. I was born on 9/8/2008. I’m 8 yrs old and I weigh 20 ½ pounds. My first owner was not home much so they are letting Lucky Star find me a new family. I already love my foster home. I am so happy to see them walk in the door and play with me. I really like their dogs too. I wasn’t used to cats so it will take me time to get used to them.
I had a problem when I was rescued – I had lost a lot of my hair due to a skin infection. Once I got the treatment I needed I stopped itching and my hair grew back quickly in just 2 months. At first they thought it was allergies but the vet says I am fully recovered and won’t get this again. The vet also discovered that I have a heart murmur. My echocardiogram showed that I need medication so I take that every day and I feel great! I will need a check up by a cardiologist in 6 months. I got my teeth cleaned after my echo and was neutered when I was a pup. I’ve had all my vaccinations and get my heartworm pill every month.
I know how to sit, laydown and roll over. Those are my tricks and I am sure I can learn more! I love to look at people and try and figure out what they want me to do or what we are going to do next. My foster family raves about how handsome I am! Awe shucks! I like them so much that I follow them around all the time! I like going in the car for rides and errands too. I like everyone! As long as kids are nice to me I would like having some kids to love me and help take care of me. By the way, I am very good about doing all my potty business outside. I mastered that a long time ago.
The most important thing I want for my new family is that they won’t leave me alone too much. I really like having someone around. I was so lonely before. So if you are not gone more than 4 hours at a time that would be wonderful! I know there is a great family out there – let me know if it might be you!
