Cavalier King Charles Spaniel / English Toy Spaniel / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
January 8, 2016 ~ Rollie recently had knee surgery. After a couple of months of rehabilitation which included cold laser therapy twice a week we are so happy to announce that Rollie is ready for adoption. Meet Rollie! Rollie is a 4 yr old “big boy” Blenhiem Cavalier whose owner could no longer keep him. The best word to describe him is JOLLY. He enjoys himself all day long! He is happy go lucky. He is cheerful and affectionate. Get the picture? He is one happy fella! He gets along with other dogs just great! Cats are very curious to him and he gives chase but doesn’t win and gives up. He runs around in the yard just for the fun of it. He loves to eat and is at a perfect weight for his body at 31 pounds. Rollie has a heart murmur that was evaluated by an echocardiogram done by a cardiologist. He will need to be seen by a cardiologist at least yearly but he has no symptoms and does not need any medications at this time. He was neutered, is heart worm negative, had his vaccinations and was microchipped. He is getting heartworm, flea and parasite prevention. He loves to come and lay next to you or in your lap. He is gentle and so endearing. Rollie knows sit and come and is learning to walk on a leash. He is housetrained and able to be loose at home with the other dogs (and cats) when we are not home. He is also crate trained. He slept in his crate at night and when no one was home at first, but has now graduated to just eating his meals (in peace) in his crate. He willingly goes in the crate when asked. He makes lots of loving eye contact and wants to please. He will melt your heart! He is very good in the car and loves to go along on errands. If Rollie sounds like the perfect bigger Cavalier that would bring great joy and happiness to you please fill out an application. He must have a physically fenced yard to be able to run and play in. He would be a great family dog with respectful children over age 6. He would also be fine as a companion to one person. He would love to have other dogs in the family but it would be better if there were no cats. He is a real people lover! Maybe you can be his people! Please complete an application first, then contact Mary Coyne, mary401339@aol.com of your interest.
