Meet JUNE aka JUNIE B who is the tiniest little girl ever!  At last check she weighed a whopping 10 pounds.  Although she suffered from neglect and possible abuse in her previous life, she shows little sign of it now.  This is a very special little Cavalier who, despite her size, has a huge personality. Within a few hours of meeting her foster sisters, she had established herself as part of the “pack” and was cuddling with the Tri-Color.

June  is 5 years old, but looks and acts like a puppy.  Once she was off her pain medication, she began playing and turning happy circles. She is housebroken and will run outside to do her business and then march to the door and bark to be let back inside.  She loves other dogs and once she determines that they are not a threat, quickly makes friends and is always glad to see them again.  She does best with dogs close to her own size.

She came to LS with extensive dental disease which required all but two of her teeth to be extracted.    Her vet here in Colorado speculates that there was probably a prior break due to some sort of trauma.  Problems with her jaw have not slowed Junie B down in the least.  She eats small kibble which is soaked in water and canned food.  She even takes small hard treats without blinking an eye.

Junie B also had small mammary tumors removed during her spay.  The tissue has been checked and laboratory results do not show any further evidenced of tumors.

This incredible little girl needs a home with at least one other small dog. Because she is very frightened of children and anything being thrown, she would do best in a home without children. June Bug is also very foot shy.  She does very well on a leash, loves to ride in cars and enjoys her outings.  This is definitely a people loving little girl.  She will sit and gaze at you with complete love in her eyes. She will follow you everywhere and loves to cuddle on the bed with her foster family.

If you are interested in adopting the precious girl, please fill out the online application and indicate your interest in June. After submitting the application, please contact jcharlton1@att.net to let her know you are interested.
