Mowgli is a gentle 7 yr old blenheim boy. His coat is soft and curly.He lived with Socks after he was rescued in 2007 from a puppy mill by Lucky Star. His owners couldn't keep him any longer so he came into rescue with Socks. Although they have lived together for almost 4 years they could be happy apart as long as they are loved. Mowgli is quiet but wags his tail to let you know he is content and happy. He asks to sit on your lap and enjoys that a lot! The vet found his heart murmur recently and has started on daily medications that cost about $25 a month. He does not have any symptoms from his heart problem. His heart echocardiogram shows that he needs to be treated with medication and have his heart checked every 6 months so that other meds can be started if needed. He's a good eater, and sits for treats. He takes his meds in a bit of cream cheese or wet food, no problem. He gets along very well with his foster family's dogs and cats. He is not demanding but does want to come along when you go somewhere. He's great in the car, puts him right to sleep! The vet says he's not overweight, and his legs are good but he doesn't jump up on the furniture and goes slowly up and down stairs. He would be fine with other dogs but also would be good as an only dog taking things at his own pace. He likes to have a toy to carry around and is good in a crate or left loose. He loves to snuggle!  Mowgli is the kind of dog that doesn't ask for much and gives so much love. He will be having a dental soon to clean up his teeth. House trained, good on a leash,  fenced yard recommended but not essential, fine for older children, heartworm neg, fecal neg, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped.
