Maisie is a darling, loveable girl.  She was released from commercial breeding and is said to be about 6 years old.  Maisie loves life and doesn’t let anything get her down.  Have you ever met one of those people who is always happy and looks on the bright side of things no matter what is going on around them?  Well, that’s how Maisie is.  She loves people, dogs, food and attention. Her tail is ALWAYS wagging in anticipation of the next great thing life has to offer.  She doesn’t get spooked by anything and is a go with the flow kind of gal.  She is curious about the world around her and will investigate any new place she goes without hesitation. 

Maisie is housebroken and will let herself out the doggie door in her foster home when nature calls.  She loves to wander around and explore the fenced yard in her foster home and she will occasionally attempt to snack on a leaf or two.  That reminds me, have I mentioned Maisie’s love of eating? Maisie LOVES food!  That is the only time you will hear Maisie bark.  As soon as she knows you are preparing her meal she will bark and dance around until you put her food down for her.  Because of her love affair with food, she arrived in foster care very overweight at 25lbs.  Her ideal weight should be 18-19lbs.  We have been making good progress on her weight loss as she is down to 22 lbs so far.  Her new family will need to be committed to continuing to get her back to her ideal beach body.

Other than her need for additional weight loss, Maisie is a very healthy girl.  Her only vice is she snores.  We find it very amusing and endearing, but her future family should be prepared to turn the volume up on the TV a few notches if she’s snoozing in your lap.  Maisie is more than happy to sleep in her crate downstairs so we all get a good night sleep and the snoring is not an issue.

Maisie will make a wonderful addition to any home.  She is happy to soak up all of the love and attention she can get and live life to the fullest.  She will make a wonderful companion to another dog and is so sweet with every dog she meets.  She is a mother hen in her foster home and grooms the face of all her foster siblings every day. This girl is an absolute gem and deserves to live the rest of her life being loved and pampered like the princess that she is.  She will be ready for her new home in the second week of February and is located in CT. 

Maisie has had a medical exam, vaccinations, spay and dental.
