It’s hard to believe that Wilbur has never been a pet before!  He is the most lovable, sociable boy I’ve ever fostered in 20 years!  His second birthday is 7/20/2022.  He slept on the big bed the first night he arrived and has made himself at home there every night since.  Initially he was a little growly but he adjusted quickly after figuring out his place in the pack. 

Wilbur (Will) likes to run and play in the yard with other dogs or just lay at his foster mom’s feet in the office.  He has learned to sit for a treat already and is very cooperative when walking on a leash. 

As with most of the boys, Will  wore a belly band when he first arrived to prevent marking but since he has been neutered, he no longer wears a belly band.  In a new home, typical male behavior is to mark so an adopter should understand this is a possibility.  

Will had a wonderful exam and there are no health concerns. He has been neutered and needed a few teeth removed during his dental.  He has been vaccinated, HW negative and receive topical flea/tick preventative. 

Will is being fostered in Maine.  We will consider applications in the Northeast who can provide a securely fenced yard that is attached to the home, a safe environment, another canine companion and older, dog-savvy children.  Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications in MA because of strict state regulations.  Please complete an application first, then contact Mary Coyne, mary401339@aol.com of your interest.
