Cavalier King Charles Spaniel / Bichon Frise / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female : : Young : : Small
Emily will be 2 years old in September. It has been a challenge to figure out what is the best fit for Emily but after working with trainers and communicators, we feel we are understanding her better and what sort of environment would suit her best. In her current situation with several other dogs of varying ages, it is “too many” for her. She would be best in an active home as the only dog (only pet) but she can interact with other dogs in play groups and group classes. She needs to be kept busy and active in order to keep her mind busy and ultimately keep her calm and avoid stress building up. Her aggression has only been with one other dog in the home. There is no aggression towards people.
It has taken a lot of time and effort to figure her out. She needs to be active and have a purpose. She has shown great interest in scent training and she would be great in agility. She would probably be great in a home with older, very active children who would play, throw the ball and keep her mind busy, get her involved in agility, scent or rally classes. Not only is she good in her crate but she also likes to snuggle under the covers! She just wants attention and love!
Emily is ¾ Cavalier and ¼ Bichon. She has no known physical health issues. We require a securely fenced yard attached to the home. She is an absolute love and is great with people. We want very badly to find her the right home and now that we have a good idea about what is bothering her, we’re hoping we can find that forever placement. Ideally, we’d like to keep her within a few hours of her CT location. If you have contacts who are very involved with scent or agility training, please forward this link.
