Lacy is a beautiful 15 lb. Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescued by Lucky Star from her former life of breeding.  We estimate that she is 5-6  years old.  She has been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. She is housebroken, but her adopters need to keep her on a schedule and watch her carefully for signals that she needs to go outside.

Lacy is a happy girl who is friendly with new dogs and all people. Lacy quickly adjusted to a new foster home with two small male dogs and does not have a strong preference for one human. Lacy likes snuggling with her foster brothers when there is room in the dog bed.

Lacy loves to snuggle her foster parents and have her butt scratched. Lacy occasionally (nicely) pushes her foster brothers out of the way so she can get petted first. Lacy can easily walk up and down stairs and enjoys going for a walk on a leash. Lacy is excellent at mealtime, she quickly eats her dinner, and doesn’t exhibit any signs of food aggression. Lacy is learning to love treats, especially peanut butter. Lacy does not bark, even when her foster brothers are barking.

Lacy has some separation anxiety and would prefer a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods. Lacy will go in her crate for short periods. However, she refused to sleep in her crate at night and sleeps in bed snuggling with her foster parents. Lacy can also be easily startled by quick movements by a human.

Lacy is generally well behaved but could use some obedience training to learn basic commands like sit, stay, and come and improve walking on a leash. However, Lacy seems to be a fast learner and eager to please and will likely pickup these skills quickly.

Lacy is being fostered in the Cincinnati area of Ohio.  She requires a securely fenced yard and another canine companion(s).  We do not ship dogs, put on planes or support long distant adoptions so please be within a reasonable driving distance and consider that distance before completing an application.  Please contact Mary Coyne, mary401339@aol.com of your interest.
