Tango is a sweet 7 year old boy who is people-oriented and loves to be petted. He keeps track of all that goes on in his foster home with several other dogs and one cat. He came to LS from another rescue who was concerned about heart issues and not familiar with the breed.  At first, he was nervous and sensitive to new sounds which caused him to bark. He now rarely barks and usually it’s because he’s excited. He is content and collected and has fit in great with the dogs and cat. He also taken on the job of watching over a puppy in his foster home.  

Tango has a grade 2/6 heart murmur which was evaluated by a cardiologist. His mitral valve leak is small and he does not need treatment at this time. He had an enlarged prostate gland however after neutering and antibiotics it resolved. He had a   badly needed   dental. He was missing teeth and had more removed. He has 8 teeth left. His knees show no luxation and he loves to run around the yard exploring but comes right away when called. Tango weighs 18 lbs. and every ounce of him says cute!  

He’s learning to enjoy cuddling and even gets in foster Mom’s lap. He sleeps in the big bed with 5 other cavaliers. He gobbles down his food and loves treats. He has taken walks and rides in the car, which he really likes. He has done very well with house training.  

It seems like Tango was just waiting to have a better life with people who understand him and love him. He makes eye contact and really wants to please. He is gentle and likes to be petted.   He would be a great family dog with older mature children or a wonderful companion for someone who lives alone with other dogs.
