Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (medium coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Small
Hi, my name is Gretchen, I''m really sweet, lovable and quiet. I don't like really loud noises. I am a bit skittish and shy, but I come around. It is going to take a little time for me to not worry and just be a dog. I like to play with my new toy (I've never had one before). The big bed and blankets are great. I like to run in the fenced in back yard. I like just about everybody and everybody likes me; the other dogs, cat, the adults and kids that are around. I am doing very well with potty training. I spin around in a circle when I have to go, the humans aren't fast enough sometimes though. I am trying to trust the new humans in my life now, I never had that before. It will just take me some time to adjust. Having a wonderful forever home is my dream come true!
Gretchen came from a breeding farm and is approximately 5 years old. She has been spayed, had her teeth cleaned, is heart worm negative, knees are OK and has no heart murmur that was detected at this time. She is a small cavalier weighing 12.5 lbs. She will need a family who is can offer a calm environment where she can continue to gain confidence and trust. If you are interesting in having Gretchen as part of your family please fill out an application. A physically fenced yard is required. Mature and gentle children over 8 yrs OK but a quiet stable household is strongly preferred and a canine companion. .
Gretchen is being fostered in Michigan. Please be mindful of the location before submitting an application as we do not support lengthy transports or ship dogs. If you are able to provide Gretchen with a home that can continue to develop her confidence and trust, please complete an application, then contact Mary Coyne, mary401339@aol.com of your interest. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to everyone and focus on those who meet her needs within a reasonable distance.
Thank you.
