Kingston came to Lucky Star from a commercial breeding farm at 2 1/2 years of age. I was in love the first time I looked at his teddy bear face. Kingston came to us at 32.8 lbs and is now down to 28 lbs. He still needs to lose about 2 more lbs. He will always be a big boy but he also loves his walks so getting exercise has helped him to slim down some. He is a healthy boy despite his larger size.

He is very loving and affectionate.  He loves all people, adults and kids alike.  He adores attention and he likes to be first in line for everything; getting petted, getting fed, first to jump up on the couch and being harnessed for a walk. He is not aggressive at all; he just wants to be at the front of the line saying, “pick me.” And he is not afraid to use his size to push ahead to the front of the line! His foster Mom said he is a master pillow tosser and hog. He loves the pillows and dog beds in his foster home.

He is anxious when he is left alone but quickly settles in to sleep with a chew toy. He would love to be in a home where he would not be left alone for long periods of time. He is doing well with his house training.

He would do well in a home with a passive dog, He loves being around other animals  and gets excited when he sees them because he wants to say hello.  He would really enjoy a family who will allow him to sleep in the big bed. He has tasted the good life and he loves it!

Kingston is being fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio with two other cavaliers. He must go to a home with a physically fenced in yard and at least one other canine companion. We will not make an exception on this. You must be willing to drive to his location to adopt him. We do not ship our dogs.
