~~Georgie is the epitome of the cavalier breed. He loves to cuddle, plays with the resident cavaliers, is sweet and gentle with children, loves belly and chin rubs, enjoys going for walks and most importantly loves his food and treats. What’s surprising about these statements is that he spent the first 6 years of his life as a stud dog in a commercial breeding facility without any of these things. Just a few short weeks ago he was very shy and had no idea of the wonderful changes that were coming to his life thanks to Lucky Star.

He is still adjusting to some of his new experiences like house training. He has made great strides but still needs a little bit of work. He also does not want to share his yummy food with others so he enjoys his meals in his crate where no one will try to take it away from him. This is not uncommon for a dog that always had to guard his food so others would not gobble it up. He has met and is pretty good with the resident cats but does enjoy an occasional chase with them.

Georgie’s ideal home would have several other cavalier companions or other small breed dogs. He will not be placed in a home as an only dog. He really enjoys being outside in the safely, physically fenced yard so this is also a must for him. His favorite spot in his foster home is sitting by the back door watching his yard. We just know he is thinking “Wow, this is all mine!”
