~~BJ is a 5 ½ year old Blenheim male. He is a bigger boy with a broad chest at 25 lbs but is not really overweight.  The day Lucky Star got the call about BJ was truly his lucky day. BJ had been passed around at smaller breeding operations. He was “traded” several times as part of a package. It seems that he was always bundled with more desirable breeding stock and he was thrown in as part of the deal. The last breeder decided she did not want him. Luckily she turned him into one of our rescue partners in Ohio who calls us when they get a cavalier. When we were asked “Do you want him” we said a resounding YES. For once, someone was choosing this boy on his merits alone. BJ hit the jackpot. 

After a much needed bath and trim emerged the most affectionate, wonderfully happy boy I have ever met. BJ just can’t stop wagging his tail. He embraces every day with an enthusiasm that makes his foster Mom laugh out loud. He wants to explore everything…so we are working a bit on his manners.

BJ’s health was never attended to so he had lost most of his teeth when he came to us. After his dental he has two remaining teeth so his tongue hangs out. To his foster Mom that just makes him more endearing and it certainly doesn’t slow down his eating. He does have a grade 2 heart murmur but is not symptomatic at this time and requires no medication.  He received all of his vaccines, a dental, ear cleaning, heartworm test (that was negative). He is also microchipped.

BJ would love to have a home with other dogs to play with and someone that will continue working on his manners. He is a wonderful boy and Lucky Star wants to show him just how special he is by finding him a wonderful forever home.

BJ is being fostered in Dayton, OH. He needs a fenced yard because he adores running in the one at his foster home.
