Joy is an adorable 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  She is a very sweet, loving and energetic girl who loves attention from her people.  She was in a home but surrendered by her owner whose work schedule did not give her the attention she deserves,

She loves everyone and forms special bonds with the people close to her. She feels comfortable when snuggled up next to you and tends to follow her special person around the house.  Joy has adapted very well in her foster home with 3 other Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and friendly visits from their 2 Golden Retriever friends.

She enjoys being outside and has found a favorite spot on the patio couch! She is a playful girl and loves interacting with the other dogs in her foster home. Joy would require a home with another cavalier or dog her size as she really enjoys the company of other dogs. She has not been around cats or small children.  She would probably fine with cats and older respectful children.

Joy had her full medical evaluation, she a 20lb girl….no heart issues, knees and teeth are good at this time.

Joy sleeps comfortably in her crate at night but has gotten used to and loves sleeping in bed with her foster humans and other Cavs.

Joy is good with her house training, but still needs some work. We have had a few accidents in the house, but has improved over time. She knows to potty when taken outside, but does not give you indications when she has to go out….so giving her regular opportunities to go outside works best.

She is still learning the leash and has been practicing…..needs some more work.

Joy is being fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She needs a securely fenced yard, another canine companion in the home and a human work schedule that gives her lots of time with her new family.  Please complete an application, then contact Mary Coyne, luckystarrescue@gmail.com.  We do not approve long distant adoptions, plane or commercial transports.
