Molly is retired from an Amish breeder in Ohio.  She is 4 years old but she’s very puppy-like.  Everything is new to her.  She is very curious and friendly.  She loves meeting new people, kids and dogs.  We haven’t encountered any cats but I’m sure she won’t mind them.  She loves toys and can be somewhat territorial with a little growl around her favorites.  Molly likes being a lap dog and is a very good snuggler.  She has been sleeping in a dog bed by her foster parents’ bed and a couple nights in a crate in the living room. She will walk on a leash, but has not been tested at long distances yet.  She is still working on potty training.  She does pretty well but sometimes she needs a nudge to go outside and do her business.   She’s doing well on her diet.  At her first vet visit, she weighed a little over 31 pounds and the vet said 26 would be a good weight for her.  As of this week, she’s down to 28 lbs.  Other than the diet, there were no noted health concerns.  Dental exam and spay will happen on 8/16. After she recuperates from that surgery, she will be available for adoption.   

Molly is being fostered in the Columbus area.  Please be aware of her location before you apply.  We do not approve long-distant adoptions or ship dogs on planes.  She will require a securely fenced yard and the company of another canine companion in the home.  Older dog-savvy children would be OK.
