Rita is a beautiful 5-6 year old Blenheim female whose tail never stops wagging.  She adapted really quickly to living in a home and has decided that she loves being near her people on the couch  and being petted.  She loves to be outside and can often be found napping in the grass in a sunny spot.  She loves to run around with the other dogs in her foster home.  Whatever they are doing, she wants to be a part of it.  She will require a home with another cavalier or similarly size dog friend, and a securely fenced yard.  She has not been around cats or small children, but I don't see any reason why she wouldn't get along with them.  She is a quiet girl, only making noise when she is upset about being left out of something.  Now that she has had her dental and her mouth feels better, she is more willing to eat.  She is a healthy weight at 18 lbs, and is heart and knee clear at this time.  She arrived into rescue very matted and has a very short coat after a good grooming.  Her ears will be long and beautiful again before long.  For now, she looks like a puppy! She is reliable in the house without being crated and will sit at the back door when she needs to go outside.  As long as you look for her cues, she doesn't potty in the house.  She is learning to walk on a leash but needs some more practice.
