Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (medium coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
Crosley is a recent rescue from an Amish farm in Ohio. He is the sweetest little guy and he loves to snuggle. Crosley enjoys playing fetch with squeaky toys and he is happiest when he is getting showered with attention or sitting in a lap. His sweet face is sure to melt your heart.
Crosley does wonderful with children, other dogs and even cats. Crosley loves being around people and his foster family reports that he has warmed up quickly when introduced to new people.
Crosley is content sleeping in his crate or on the bed at night, whichever his new family prefers. Crosley has been crated when his foster family runs errands and he has done well with it but he has always had a dog companion with him when separated from his humans.
Crosley is housebroken. He will need to be on a consistent schedule and will need to be in a household where his adoptive family will watch him for signs that he needs to use the potty. Crosley was marking the first few days in his foster family’s home but has stopped shortly after being neutered.
He is a picky eater. However, he loves frozen green beans, strawberries and the occasional cheese treat.
Crosley’s foster family is gradually introducing the concept of walking on a leash. Crosley will need his adoptive family to be patient with him as he continues to learn how to walk on a leash. Crosley is eager to please so with positive and supportive training, he should pick up on it quickly. Preferably learning while walking another dog to continue showing Crosley proper leash etiquette.
Crosley will need a home with a fenced yard (which is a requirement for all lucky star rescues). An ideal home would have another dog that could further instill confidence in Crosley as he continues to adapt to family life. Crosley would benefit from basic obedience training and has quickly learned some basic commands from his current foster family.
Crosley has been neutered, vaccinated, HW tested, and had a full exam.
Crosley is being fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. We do not support long distant adoptions or ship dogs so please be within a reasonable driving distance and consider that before applying. Please complete an adoption application first, then contact Mary Coyne, mary401339@aol.com of your interest.
