~~Beth is one of Lucky Star’s Little Women. She came to us with Jo, Meg and Amy so we named them after the characters in Little Women. Beth is approximately 6 ½ years old and spent her life in a commercial breeding facility. During her initial vet visit it was discovered that Beth has a grade 3 / 4 heart murmur. She was taken to a cardiologist for an evaluation. While her murmur is loud the doctor said her heart is doing a pretty good job. She is on 3 medications for her heart. Anyone considering Beth will need to be aware that she will need periodic follow up visits with a cardiologist.

Beth is a sweet, shy little girl who will quickly warm up to you once she gets to know you. She loves to cuddle on the couch. She is also a collector. She loves taking things into her crate and her foster Mom says it is always fun to see what new things she is hiding away in there! Squeaky toys are her favorite.
During her time in foster care the playful side of Beth's personality is emerging. She is now initiating play with the other resident dogs, trying to get them to chase her and generally just wants to be part of the doggie pack! We want Beth to go to a home with at least one other small dog as a companion.

Beth lost quite a few teeth during her dental but she really enjoys gnawing on a bully stick or other safe chew. As mentioned previously, Beth thrives from attention and interaction with her human. She loves laying on you and falling asleep. She also likes positive reinforcement and praise when she does a good thing like going potty outside. Beth does well with potty training. She is doing very well with stairs but needs supervision. Beth has started to take walks on a leash. She needs patience and time and should not be rushed but gently guided as she is still learning.

Beth is being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. She must have a physically fenced yard and another canine companion in her forever home.
